Only want to mention that there’s a big difference between World of Warcraft and Second Life and they are working very differently from each other. You can’t really compare those two.
Think it’s like comparing a pencil and an apple. LoL

Pleace allow me to explain, also for those of your readers who doesn’t know or haven’t played any of those.

In World of Warcraft everything, in the different areas, are already made, you cannot change things there, not even your character, class, race – once made you have to stick with your choises.
WoW is categorized as a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) and is mostly group or guild based – you can go solo but that is mostly in the lower levels. There are different realms, PvE (player vs. environment), PvP (player vs. player) and RP PvP (Role-Playing realms can either be PvE realms or Player vs. Player realms.) based on the Horde and the Alliance, the two opposite fractions who simply hate each other.
On a PVP server/realm you can fight/kill the opposite fraction for honour amoung other things, things you can’t do on a PVE server, just mentioning those as examples.
Of course you can level up your character all by yourself (I did) but you will miss out on the big instances, raids and the “Highly sought after” Epic’s.
Also the economy is very different from Second Life. In WoW we have our Auction Houses where you can buy/bid/sell some of the stuff or loot you’re getting from killing mods for Gold/Silver/Bronze.

In Second Life you are your own “master” and can build/create/change almost everything.
You can owe land and you can sell your own creations or buy others. In SL you can use your creative skills to build up your economy if you are good or “lucky”.
You can’t really categorize Second Life as a “game” as World of Warcraft is.
You can “play” SL as a game of course, if that is what you want, but much in SL are based more on Business than as a Game in my opinion.
In SL you can use your L$ to buy stuff, help paying for your account (if you haven’t chosen a free account), for your land (if you have any) or if you have earned enough L$ you can exchange them to real $.
You can buy or sell L$ from outside SL which is strictly forbidden in WoW, where you can risk your account if you are buying Gold from an outside source like eBay or from Goldfarmers websides.

Playing both (WoW for 2,5 years and SL for a little over 6 month) I had to say something when you mentioned both in the same sentence.
It’s not a critic, don’t get me wrong there please, just a feedback.

You are really doing a great job and you have put a lot of energy in it.
